International patients

Urology care in Tabriz, for patients outside Iran.

This page is for visitors and Iranians living abroad who have a urinary or men's health problem and are thinking of being seen by Dr. Ali Pourmohammad, a urologist in Tabriz. It explains what to collect before you come and how to reach the support team.

Before you travel

Gather what you have. Clear copies or phone photos are fine to start with.

  • Urine test results and any urine culture reports, with their dates
  • PSA results over time, if you have had them, with the dates
  • Reports and images of ultrasound, CT or MRI scans, on a disc or as a download link
  • Any urine flow test or urodynamic report, and a bladder diary if you have kept one
  • Reports of past procedures and biopsies, including any stone analysis
  • Every medicine you take: the name, how often, and since when, especially blood thinners
  • A short timeline: what changed, when it started and what has been done so far

The way to send these documents is still being confirmed. For now, call the international support line: +989302272111

Practical questions

Can a diagnosis be made from my records alone?

No. Your records help the doctor understand your situation, but a diagnosis and a treatment plan come after an examination and the right tests.

Should I stop my medicines before I travel?

No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed and do not stop or change any of them without your own doctor. Bring the list with you.

How long would I need to stay in Tabriz?

It depends on the tests and visits you need. If a procedure is advised, ask how long you should stay for follow-up before you book your return. The doctor can tell you after the first visit.

I suddenly cannot pass urine, or I have severe pain with a fever. Can I wait until I travel to Tabriz?

Please do not wait. These need emergency care where you are today. See the list of urgent signs in the guide.

Can I fly with a catheter or soon after a procedure?

Ask the team treating you before you book. Leave time to recover, and carry your discharge notes and enough supplies with you.

What about language, fees and insurance?

These are not confirmed yet and are listed above as awaiting details. Please do not assume anything until they are confirmed.

What number do I call in an emergency?

115 is Iran's emergency number. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.

Every patient's situation is different; ask your doctor about your own.
